Venue: A Parking Lot Party

We love our friends at Pop2Life…and we love them even more when we get to strap a camera to a mechanical bull. In anticipation of Hap and Leonard’s season two premiere on SundanceTV, we helped Pop2Life create a hot-sauce-filled experiential marketing event centered-around a mechanical bull.
Our pals at Pop2Life provided us with digital ads for Hap and Leonard and let us literally take the bull by the horns. The creative direction shows the characters galloping on a wild horse over a cop car.
With a GoPro mounted to the bull, we recorded guests as they attempted to stay on for a full 8 seconds. After each video was captured, we added intro and outro bumpers in the style of Hap and Leonard, as well as a timer showing how long riders stayed on. We also added an animation of a majestic horse to replicate the iconic Hap and Leonard posters, turning each ride on the bucking bull into an exciting micro ad for the show.
We had had a rowdy time stirring up some trouble at SXSW with Pop2Life and always love taking on these unique challenges with our clients to create impactful experiences.
