Location: Los Angeles, CA
Venue: DTS Space at FLOOD Gallery
Date: August 24, 2016
The newest event in the DTS Space event series had plenty to live up to after last year’s inaugural DTS Space events and 2016’s TRON RUN/r launch and the Camp DTS Space indoor camping experience. Lucky for all DTS Space guests at the FLOOD Gallery, the music video launch for OneRepublic’s new single, ‘Kids’, lived up to the high standard of the previous DTS Space events.
OneRepublic “Kids” Video Premiere
The event brought back fun childhood toys and games, filling the FLOOD Gallery with balloons, Lite Brite imagery, and some Skee ball competition. The child-like nostalgia was contrasted with the Vizio and DTS technology of the present and future. Premiere guests were able to view the new music video on clear Vizio screens and experience the night’s music through DTS audio technologies. The event also showcased OneRepublic’s new music video for “Kids” and some of the technology used to develop the “Kids” story part 2 360-degree virtual reality experience.
Pulling inspiration from the “Kids” music video, FoxTales created a photo and GIF experience for the music video premiere. The experience placed guests right into an old-school box television screen complete with pixelated on-screen font and a white noise overlay. The “Kids” StoryStudio experience let fans step into yesterday’s technology and be viewed through an old television screen reminding users of how far technology has come in recent years.
The DTS Space LA is a monthly event series at the FLOOD Gallery in Los Angeles created with the audio company, Dedicated to Sound, to showcase all different aspects and forms of sound through a variety of events.
