Hashtag Sports is an annual conference in New York City for some of the biggest innovators in the sports & entertainment industry. The gathering explores the trends in digital and tech across media, content, sponsorship, advertising and culture that are shaping the future of sports.
Over 1,250 attendees from leading teams, leagues, brands and agencies were present, and we were tasked with providing users with a unique digital keepsake to showcase the possibilities when leveraging visual experiences as a fan engagement tool. To achieve this, we designed a green screen cinemagraph around one of NYC’s most famous tourist stops: Times Square. After snapping a photo of each guest, we then digitally placed him or her in the heart of the city lights. We added flashing lights and pulsing screens to bring the city to life around them.
On the third day of the program, Microsoft, a Hashtag Sports platinum partner invited us to showcase our Azure-powered platform to key media outlets at their NYC loft. The dynamic baseball player card fan engagement demo we executed is just one of an endless stream of possibilities to seamlessly capture fan insights while gifting attendees with content that taps into the heart of passionate sports fans.
